What language to use

Hello all,

Not sure if ts is the best categry fo tis potbut thught it was th closest category that fits what I am askin about.

I would like some feedback on what would be the best language to learn if I wanted to make a (windows) desktop application. I know what language is best might depend on what type ofapplication I want to build. But in general what language is best when it comes down to building a desktop application (for like inventory/item managment/tracking)

Python, visual basic, c++??
