I thought I would just mention Aptana...great editor and they are always releasing new features. This doesn't have a visual editor like frontpage and dreaweaver but if you are a hand coder I would recommend it 100%!

Stay away from GoLive? Why? Adobe GoLive is the best web designing software I have ever used. I always hated Dreamweaver, it is the crappiest program.

Yep - EditPlus is my text editor of choice. Nice syntax highlighter for HTML, ASP,PHP,JSP, Javascript, etc. and I really like the tabbed interface and search and "find in files" functions.

Website Software Recommendations

PS: Using Dreamweaver MX 2004 at present.

I do not know your level of skill that you have, but for me it comes down to time and return on investment. I have been programming in Dreamweaver and php for years, but what I found was a software called Blog Scheduler that has just about everything needed for 90% of my clientele and it is all search engine friendly while being setup for increasing marketing to a clients site; newletter system, cms, shopping, faq admin, forums, and survey system[/URL]. I like it because they end up doing all the work, all I do is create a design layout which lets me focus on my business rather than on software.
