2 web servers. help with dns
Hi all
I needsome help on a problem i am facing I have a domain. unicorn-solutions.com I have installed dns, exhange & IIS on a pdc for this domain. the website for this has been registered as mail.unicorn-solutions.com & is hosted on this server. (w2ksvr1) This all works fine. I can access tthe web site inernally & Externally. The problem is i have installed a new server (w2ksvr2) & installed IIS on it. I have setup a website & it works locally. I have added a host & a alias records in Dns pointing the website on w2ksvr2. on the internal network it works fine but the external it still goes to w2ksvr1. I know i can do this from IIS but is there another way of doing this using DNS? Thanks |

If you have more than one public IP address, you can have more than one public web server. But if you only have 1 IP address, then you must host all websites on the same web server.
