2 web servers. help with dns
Hi all
I needsome help on a problem i am facing I have a domain. unicorn-solutions.com I have installed dns, exhange & IIS on a pdc for this domain. the website for this has been registered as mail.unicorn-solutions.com & is hosted on this server. (w2ksvr1) This all works fine. I can access tthe web site inernally & Externally. The problem is i have installed a new server (w2ksvr2) & installed IIS on it. I have setup a website & it works locally. I have added a host & a alias records in Dns pointing the website on w2ksvr2. on the internal network it works fine but the external it still goes to w2ksvr1. I know i can do this from IIS but is there another way of doing this using DNS? Thanks

If you have more than one public IP address, you can have more than one public web server. But if you only have 1 IP address, then you must host all websites on the same web server.
