A general question regarding DNS.
At home I have DSL with a static IP address and I have hooked it up to a SuSe Linux box. I am running apache and php and everything works great I can access my server from anywhere in the world by entering my IP address into a browser. I just bought a domain name, and now I would like the domain to refer to my server. I did some research and this requires a DNS server to be run on my Linux box, and in most cases it is something called bind. Can someone help me further continue this process so I can get my domain name to point to my webserver.

Start here and get a little understanding of what DNS really is that most people often misinterpreted.
>> so I can get my domain name to point to my webserver This involves quite a few process depending on how your current network topology is setup. |
