Any Microsoft DNS Experts out there wanna help a newbie

I am new to Microsoft DNS Server and to DNS offcourse. I have windows 2003 OS. How do I add approiate nameserver such as NS1.mydomain.com and NS2.mydomain.com. I think i have my DNS server configured correctly. I want to know how to setup the NS1.mydomain.com part so i can host my website. Because tats wat the domain registars want rite...NS1....and NS2.... to point to the website so it tells them that the informaiton is stored there.

If i am wrong then can someone help me please...pretty please

thanks a lot

I don't know how to use Microsoft DNS for hosting your own websites (it's difficult, I think), but why don't you use a free service offered by ZoneEdit (www.zoneedit.com). You register a domain with a domain name registering company, register with ZoneEdit who give you free nameservers and then from a ZoneEdit control panel set up details like the IP addresses of your servers and mail servers.

I use it and I would recommend it!

now wat i got a zoneedit zone

okay i got a zone from zoneedit. What do i do now. Do i still need to run Microsoft DNS Server on my PC or just have the webserver running on it.

Or i can have both the Microsoft DNS server and the webserver and still use the zoneedit zone along with it.

Please advise.

thanks a million
