Bind9 Named.conf and named.pid not there
I have downloaded the latest bind (9.2.3) from URL
Now after compiling this version of Bind9 on Debian, there is no named.conf file in my /etc directory. Is this normal? Shouldn't the compilation process make the file? Or am i suppost to create the file by hand and put it in /etc ? tnxs in advance. |

You're supposed to create the file, but I think one of the utilities can generate one for you. However, I think working off of this as a template would be easier:
