Caching DNS on Window 2003
I believe I have set this up correctly but I'm not sure.
All I need to do is setup DNS on the server and configure it without Zones. The forwarders are the DNS address of my ISP. Does that sound right? Do I need to do anything else? I have a router on the network that is a DHCP server. I have it pointing to the local DNS to resolve web site look ups. Is this also correct. There is very little information out there for a caching only DNS on Window Server 2003. Any help will be great. |

So did it work?

Yes it did. All name request on the network go to the local DNS server running Windows Server 2003. Works well.

Since it does what you want, then there's nothing else for you to do.
