Hi! I want to use my computer as a server, but I need to know the DNS for the domain name properties.
I am running Windows XP Pro and I would particuralry not like to purchase Windows Server. If you know any way of finding my DNS, then please let me know!!!! |

not sure what you're asking buddy. Particularly on Windows XP your computer name has nothing to do with DNS.

I have already purchased the domain registrstion, I just need to know my computer's DNS 1 and DNS 2 so when people go to kevind23.com, they will see the content on my computer. (I am running IIS). Is there a way to do this, and if so, how?

Well first you need to choose whether you want to host your own DNS, or if you want somebody else to host it for free. You will host your website, but it is the domain IP information that needs to be hosted now.

What is the difference? If it's free and easier for someone else to do it, then definitley someone else.

Isn't everything easier if someone else does it?
![]() Seriously though, see: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...ree+dns+hosting I'm not positive, but SilentRage himself offers some online services. Not sure if he does dns hosting though. And I'm not sure if it's free. See his website in his signature. |
