Smile Coul you help me find the best config??

Hello everyone, my name is Nuno and I am form Portugal

Just recently have I entered the world of webservers, and altough I have read alllot, confusion is still on my mind on trying to find the best config to the system I want to setup.

SO here i goes:

what I have:

5 PC's
1 Server running Windows 2003 server
1 router dsl Alcatel SpeedTouch 510i connected to my ISP
1 small switch with 8 ports to wichs are connected both PC's and server

My ISP has given me 4 static IP's
One has been given to the router and is 213.13.118.137
The other one has been given to the serve and is 213.13.118.138 with a mask : 255.255.255.252

what I want

What everyone wants!

-A functional webserver ( with IIS ) for hosting some sites
-share my network resoureces eg. printerss, files, etc and internet connections on these 5 PC´s and the server

So what should I do??

do I have to setup dns on the server for the domains given by my registrar?

should I setup DHCP or Wins, and if yes where, since both server and router support these services

Thănks for your attention, I am in a phase that the more I read books the confused I get because none o the practical cases they have cover my solution

regards!

Install Smoothwall on the most low-specification box, and configure this to work with your router (it's a Linux firewall distribution). Assign the green interface a private IP address (e.g. 192.168.1.1 with netmask 255.255.255.248).

Decide upon whether you really want to use IIS. It's has a terrible security track record and isn't terribly good. If not, install Apache for Windows on the Windows 2003 Server. Assign a second private IP (e.g. 192.168.1.2 with netmask 255.255.255.248) to the Windows 2003 Server. Configure port forwarding on the Smoothwall machine to forward all port 80 requests to port 80 on the Windows 2003 server's IP address. Now when people access http://213.13.118.137 they will see the default website served up by Apache on the Windows 2003 Server.

Decide upon a Windows domain (e.g. WORKGROUP) and set this as the workgroup name for all the Windows boxes. Assign them each private IP addresses (e.g. 192.168.1.x with netmask 255.255.255.248) that aren't already in use by something else. Set their default gateways to 192.168.1.1 and their primary DNS servers to 192.168.1.1 and they will be able to browse the internet via the Smoothwall box, and share file and print resources (which you will have to set up on a per-machine basis).
