Hi all
Is it possible to set up my own dns servers that will deal with a custom tld for example .mytld all requests would go to mydns server therefore creating a custom tld? I am sure there is some rules but how do I go about it? |

If you wan't to do that on your own *private* network, then you can by creating a root.
If you're talking about doing that on the public internet, no chance! |

If you're looking into creating a new TLD take a look at the OpenNIC Democratic Name System ( URL ). I hope this is helpfull
