    Question djbdns or powerdns

    Hello everybody,

Which nameserver you would recommend (powerdns or djbdns) for about 200 domains?
I would store the dns data in a mysql database and with djbdns I create the data.cdb with a perl script or with powerdns use mysql directly as backend.

    Thanks for any input!

tinydns with the plain data.cdb, fast and simple. tinydns is really a content DNS server which serves static data of what it's known in the data.cdb file.
Using mysql backend creates overhead and decreases reliability so avoid using it for such a job if at all possible.
Not to mention 200 domains is just a very tiny number for tinydns to handle.
