PQN:

What registrar are you using? Different registrars have different ways of letting you register a nameserver... some don't at all.

Trellis:

I had 2 registras:
- VoxDomain: this allows me to enter name servers and its IP addresses.
- Hostway: This allows me to enter name servers only.

If you're going to use the same nameservers for both, you only need one domain that asks for an IP to register the nameservers.

Here's something you must know: lets say you want to register two nameservers called

ns1.testsite.com
ns2.testsite.com

You must have and be the owner of testsite.com. Then what you want to do is add domain-based nameservers. In this section, it should have a blank field then .testsite.com and another box for its IP. Add ns1 and its IP and then do the same for ns2.

After that set the nameservers for testsite.com to ns1.testsite.com and ns2.testsite.com

Do the same for the other domain.

If you're confused I'm here!

Thanks Trellis:

My DNS Server just started operating today. And some of domains I registered with HostWay (without IP addresses entered) are working, too.

At least from this forum, I learned many good things.

Thanks much for your help.
