I just moved offices (and ISP's) and have configuration problems with Imail and DNS. My websites are starting to replicate on the new IP which is 69.128.69.163 (URL), but e-mail is hosed. It's either the MX record or a reverse lookup entry I'm missing.
I'm using DNS Server that came with Microsofts Win2000 Advanced Server. Any thoughts? |

mail.crossover.net resolves to 69.128.69.163
but 69.128.69.163 resolves to h69-128-69-163.69-128.unk.tds.net This is a problem. The business that owns "tds.net" is the people you need to talk to. You need to tell them to point that IP to "mail.crossover.net".

I'd agree that may be part of the problem, but I can't even get mail to/from the server using Outlook Express (on the server as a test).

When I tested sending the email it appears that the server wasn't even running.

Would that still mean tds.net needs to be contacted or is my server messed up?

I've tested your mail server again and sent an email to postmaster@crossover.net. See if you got it. If you did, then your mail server is fine. You just need to setup RDNS to SEND mail through the server. You should RECIEVE mail just fine.
