DNS configuration

Hello to everyone,
i have some questions?
I want to make connection Beetwen 2 lacations.
I location A i have DNS derver and domain " domain.com".
At location B, I have "subdomain.domain.com "
Because I using Win 2k , i was use wizard to make DNS.
Now i need to connect those 2 location and i try something , but i need some advice.

In location A i had forward zone domain. com,
and also i created new zone with name subdomain.domain.com.

My questions:
Is it ok for me with creation new zone subdomain.domain.com?
If it`s ok , what I also need to do on main DNS?
What i need do on child DNS ( what record i need to ad)?
Does anyone have some white paper or something about this.

It's almost always pointless to have both the parent zone (domain.com) on the same server as the sub zone(subdomain.domain.com). If they are still on different servers however, then the parent zone server needs to delegate to the child zone server like this:

subdomain.domain.com. NS ns1.subdomain.domain.com.
ns1.subdomain.domain.com. A 127.0.0.1

That's the theory anyway. I could help you better if you gave me the actual domain so that I can take a look at what you're doing and tell you what you need to do more specifically.
