    DNS & IP

    Hello

    a newbie needs help

    2 questions:

mydomain.com has been registered on hoster 1 and now it's redirected to hoster 2 where also is the webspace on a linux VPS.

I want to use the DNS from the cloudflare network.

1.) on hoster 1 and hoster 2 i set the Cloundflare DNS -- Right?

2.) Which IP should i set for the domain on my VPS? The IP from the VPS Host or from Cloudflare?

    Thanks for support!

    DNS Settings

1.) Hoster where the domain was registered
    uma.ns.cloudflare.com
    woz.ns.cloudflare.com
(should it point to the VPS or to DNS of Clodflare?)

2.) VPS Webspace points to DNS Cloudflare

3.) DNS Cloudflare Network points to VPS

Domain is 144i.com. It shows this IP -- but can't be right..!?

    ;; ANSWER SECTION:
    144i.com. 300 IN A 108.162.197.232
    144i.com. 300 IN A 108.162.196.232

    Where am i wrong?

You need to set the nameserver with your registrar to point to the cloudflare nameservers. They have a big howto covering this for various registrar's, find yours and follow the directions:
CloudFlare - How to change DNS at your registrar to CloudFlare's Nameservers

After that you need to configure your DNS for your domain on cloudflare with an A record which points to your VPS's IP address.
    CloudFlare - Managing DNS Records

If you don't know your VPS's IP address the management tools for it should tell you, or if you can access it's command line, run ifconfig -a and search the output.

    Thanks kicken for your reply!

yes, exactly so are my settings now, but i don't understand why my site is not reachable.

i'm on a Linux VPS with confixx. So it seems, it must be a server configuration issue?

i allready checked the chmod rights and .htaccess

Am i here in the right section to discuss it?
What do to now, to check my server-settings?

    Thanks a lot
