DNS:: Mac OS X 10.3.x
Hi all,
Here's some help in setting up DNS on Mac OS X 10.3.x Panther. Hope it helps. To be an Authoritative DNS server you need 2 static IP 's. Preferably on different ISP's so your domain will always resolve, if the main NS (namespace) goes down. Port 53 must be open in your firewall for DNS to work For this example we have 5 static IP's under the domain of example.com x.x.x.122 With subdomains of: mail.example.com: x.x.x.123 ftp.example.com: x.x.x.124 URL x.x.x.125 afp.example.com: x.x.x.126 + 1 more static IP on preferably on another ISP for your secondary NS server. (ask a friend) ....cont' or for Jaguar DNS:: Mac OS X 10.2.x |
