    Question DNS and mail issues

intodns.com indicated that rDNS now works okey thats good! They have fixed this.

Pass Reverse MX A records (PTR) Your reverse (PTR) record:
    58.17.200.84.in-addr.arpa -> mail.superhost.gr
You have reverse (PTR) records for all your IPs, that is a good thing.

As for the mail iam afrid it outputs this:
    Code:
Warning	MX CNAME Check	WARNING: CNAME was returned for the following MX records:
    mail.superhost.gr
The CNAME(s) that were returned are listed above. This is not ok per the RFCs and can cause problems including mail being lost!
Error	MX A request returns CNAME	WARNING: MX records points to a CNAME. CNAMEs are not allowed in MX records, according to RFC974, RFC1034 3.6.2, RFC1912 2.4, and RFC2181 10.3. The problem MX record(s) are:
    mail.superhost.gr points to ['superhost.gr']
    This can cause problems
Do i need to chnage the mx record in cloudflare so mx records point to somethign else being ???????

    Also my webpage works as

    www.superhost.gr

    but not as

    superhost.gr

and it only load the first page if i click on a link i get
    http://superhost.gr/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi

Can somebody please explain to me what on eart is going on?

I'am talking a snapshot for you to see that all dns records on cloudflare has been set correctly.

    superhost.gr - root servers return
    grdns.ics.forth.gr [139.91.1.1]
    gr-us.ics.forth.gr [199.4.28.219]
    gr-us.ics.forth.gr [2620:000:22B0:004:221:9BFF:FE97C44]
    gr-ix.ics.forth.gr [176.126.38.132]
    gr-ix.ics.forth.gr [2001:7F8:06E:001:000:000:000:132]
    gr-br.ics.forth.gr [200.160.7.163]
    gr-at.ics.forth.gr [78.104.145.227]
    gr-m.ics.forth.gr [194.0.4.10]
    gr-m.ics.forth.gr [2001:678:007:000:000:000:004:010]
    grdns-de.denic.de [81.91.161.80]
    estia.ics.forth.gr [139.91.191.3]
    estia.ics.forth.gr [2001:648:2C30:000:000:000:191:003]

Choosing any one of those servers returns
    ns1.superhost.gr [84.200.17.58]
    ns2.superhost.gr [84.200.17.59]

Choosing either one of those returns
Response Code 2 - Server failure

Cloudflare is no longer in the picture, but your servers at 84.200.17.58 & 84.200.17.59 are not responding. A portscan shows port 53 is open, so there must be something wrong with your local setup.

The only way is http://www.superhost.gr but no link on my webpage works when clicked upon.

    iam getting this: http://superhost.gr/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi

Clearly these are DNS and Mail issues.

i have asked PaulVPS which is my provider and they dont f***** care to help resolve those issues, and i have paid them upo until May 2014.

You have your mail.superhost.gr entry configured as a CNAME record. This is not allowed, you need to change it to an A record instead.

When i try to alter the DNS zone so to change the mail record from CNAME => A which is the correct setting

    i get this:

    Code:
    Modifying Zone superhost.gr

zone superhost.gr/IN: NS 'ns1.superhost.gr' has no address records (A or AAAA) zone superhost.gr/IN: NS 'ns2.superhost.gr' has no address records (A or AAAA) zone superhost.gr/IN: not loaded due to errors.
Bind reloading on secure using rndc zone: [superhost.gr]
Can you please explain to me whats going?

And please accept to give you WHM access perhaps you can make it work. I'am tryign 4 days these and i cant make it work.

A-Record for superhost.gr is now responding with [84.200.17.58]
www.superhost.gr is responding as a CNAME for superhost.gr
Personally, I would do it the other way around. The zone should be configured under the domain name, www.superhost.gr should be configured as a machine name (Fully Qualified Domain Name), and superhost.gr as a CNAME for www.superhost.gr. Your present setup is creating problems with your MX-Record, which is returning www.superhost.gr as a CNAME for superhost.gr, and mail.superhost.gr. I presume that you want only mail.superhost.gr returned.

Yes i ahve altered the CNAME and assigned an A netry got the mail but this didnt made the mail server functional.

Lets wait and see if kickern will manage to solve this DNS and Mail riddle which bothers me for so many days now.

I have tried everything i knew but idnt manage to solve this.

As things are at the moment i cannot even access my WHM ans server via SSH as secure.superhost.gr but only via its ip address.

intodns.com states that nameserves are working still i cant access any of the services by hostname.
