Welcome to Dev Shed. The more info you provide, the better... I'm not entirely sure on what the problem is, but let's see what we can find out: 1) What OS are you running? 2) What DNS server are you running? 3) When you say you're external DNS doesn't resolve, what do you mean? I'm assuming that external to your network, the DNS isn't resolving properly... 4) Have you forwarded port 53 in your router? |

If I cmd nslookup google.com, I get a reply and resolved no problem, but as soon as I try and nslookup traton.dyndns.org whjich is my dns, it dosent understand it. I have not set up any forwardsto the router, sorry to be vague, but am quite new to dns.

In your router, have you set it up for dyndns? A lot of routers offer the option to sync up with a dynamic dns provider. Also, log in to your dyndns account via dyndns.com and make sure it's displaying your IP correctly. You may need to update the IP from within the account. |

No problem... Let us know if that works. If not, we'll see what else we can do to get it working for you. |
