When i do a nslookup with my primary name server i get a error which reads non-authoritative answer. The error dosn't occur when i use nslookup with secondary name server. Why?

it means your primary isn't configured to be a host for your zone.

how do you configure your primary to be host for your zone?
I take it your talking about my forward lookup zone. My forward lookup zone has 2 name servers in it. Had to add second one to access local intranet website. |

"how do you configure your primary to be host for your zone?"
Depends on what DNS server software you're using. Since you mentioned "forward zones" I assume you're using Microsoft DNS Server. You'll have to have somebody else help you with its config. |
