Dollardns down?

I have just registered a new domain and setup DNS through dollardns. I pointed my godaddy domain info to the new DNS and it worked fine, for a day. Now I cannot get on to my site by name or URL even. I know things go down but is this common for them? Where I have only been using them for a few hours I thought maybe someone here might know what the deal is with them since it was people here suggesting to use it.
Thanks,
Dog

Registration never goes down, but it's never been a secret that free domain hosting with DollarDNS is not reliable. Just read the DollarDNS news sometime. However, one day soon it will be free and reliable when I setup my dedicated server. Until then, I'll put you on some everydns servers so that you won't go down at all even if I do. Would that make you happy?

I post everything on the news on the site. Go visit it again to get the reason for this outrage. You visited the server right after I came back up and right before I posted the news.

and btw: email me next time. That's the fastest way of getting help. The biggest advantage with being with DollarDNS is the fast competent support after all.

[EDIT]

oops, for some reason I thought you registered the domain through me. You will have to do this yourself then. Change your name servers to the following:

ns1.everydns.net
ns2.everydns.net
ns3.everydns.net
ns4.everydns.net

And your domain will continue to work even when I'm down, and all changes you make to your domain on DollarDNS are reflected on those servers. I used to make people pay for this kind of service while free users had unreliability. But since all that's going to change, you can get the reliability and the flexibility for free.

Thank you for the response. I would have emailed you if I could get to the site and find out your email addy, from now on I will keep it handy. Also I will try changing the DNS info to the new addresses you gave me.
Thanks again for the quick reply,
Dog

hey no problem man.

Remember you can always whois my domain to get a valid email address. My DNS information also contains contact information but that's a bit more tricky to get at unless you have a good working knowledge of the domain name system. Both of these resources includes my phone number if you want something a bit more personal.
