Domain pointing technology...

Is it possible to have multiple subdomains? Like subdomain.domain.com.
I asked my webhost on how to do this, they said it was possible with a cgi script. Does anyone know of a good script or how to proceed?

Sorry for the divergence from PHP, it's still http server technology
thanks

have a word with your host

this should go in the "Apache" forum. also, your host should be able to set this up easily for a small fee. I don't know the configuration directives for it myself, but this should be very easy.

>> I asked my webhost on how to do this

You are not the host, then you don't need to know it.

>> Is it possible to have multiple subdomains?

Yes. The appropriate DNS zone record should be altered (if wildcard is not enabled). Then you can configure vhost or use mod_rewrite.
