Domain record corrupt?
Hello, I am having a problem with my domain and I am not sure what the problem is. I was switching webhosts, and according to my WHOIS my name servers are correct. If that is so, why am I getting an under construction message from an IP not located on my webservers network?
I did not transfer my domain to anyone or authorize it be done by anyone.
my domain is www.hr-networks.com how can I find out where the server is, that the construction page is being served from?

oh, got it again (i was just re-routed):
http://www.hr-networks.com/html/

That is a year old outdated directory i have on my server, but that should not come up.
Is it possible someone is redirecting my domain without my permission? Being that I just changed name servers, how long should I wait before I become really concerned?

1. yes
2. at least 48 hrs till your old IP will be expired in all nameserver caches on the īnet. for some very rare cases even longer.

Thank you for all your help. That page which you witnessed was the current construction page as of this morning (old server), I changed the name servers a few hours ago to the (new server), so I guess it has not changed everywhere yet.
Thank you.

It has been a wierd 48 hours. I have seen all sorts of strange things happen, it seems that some DNS records update, some dont, some revert to old records, but for the most part I can see my websites.
Look at this ping dialouge:
Quote:

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>ping www.hr-networks.com
Pinging www.hr-networks.com [64.136.143.162] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 64.136.143.162: bytes=32 time=107ms TTL=237

It seems that for some reason my old IP will not give up, it is still showing for just "hr-networks.com". Can anyone suggest what is going on here?
