getting a new IP addy
need i new ip addy.. tried to get a new one from my server they basically said no... I have a Dynamic ip addy... but i still have the same addy for 5 months.. if i use a router and hook up another computer will it show the same ip addy on both computers ? thanks

yes, both computers will have the same public IP.

ehh... do what i did -- say good bye to your router and use Switch or hub...
Works perfectly... Even thou my ISP said max 5 IPs... i tested with 7 including wireless devices... works fine Try it... Switches are cheap, but dont have any firewall... |

it is very common that cable services will grant you as many IPs as you ask for even though they say you can only have *this* many. Setting up multiple computers through a hub is definately the best way to do that.
