Host not found until a browser refresh

On our network, when we go to a dot net, or dot org site, the browser times out with a host not found message. ("Oops! Google Chrome could not find domainname" for example.) Then we simply refresh the page and it loads in fine. The DNS resolution fails on the first try. Then all is well after a refresh and for I can't tell how long. The problem happens with all users and all browsers, so we figure it must be DNS related but can't find any documentation on the problem. While dot com sites do take too long to resolve we don't get the host not found error with them. Any insight?

Your default DNS is timing out before obtaining resolution. By the time you try again, it has found the answer and added it to your DNS cache. Try configuring different DNS servers such as:
OpenDNS: 208.67.222.222 , 208.67.220.220
Google: 8.8.8.8 , 8.8.4.4

Yes, I believe it was caused by DNS problem. Please kindly ask your provider to check and fixed your DNS problem.

We're trying out the Google DNS. Thanks for the suggestion.
