how to find A records pointing to my ip
I am wondering if there is any way to find which and how many A records are pointint to an IP ?
got a new server from ev1 and no sites running on it yet but the apache logs are full of ppl trying to access various pages.. |

Try http://www.whois.sc/ and enter your IP address. That won't give you the A records, but it will give you a good start at the name of the sites that used to be running on that server.

There is no authoritative process that can tell you how many domains point to an IP at any given point in time. Only whois.sc has anything close by resolving gajillions of domains and keeping statistics information, but it is incomplete and can be innaccurate.
