How to setup a forwarder with some exceptions
Hello,
I'd like my dns to forward all queries except a list of local addresses. I have bind 9.2.2 running on a server. This name server is setup as forwarder. In the future it may be authoritative on a zone too. I'd like to override some specific addresses, from zones I don't administer. The addresses to override are for example something like mail.domain-a.com, www.domain-b.net. When bind receive a query on these 2 entries it must not forward them but return an address which is locally defined (and may change). Any solutions ? Thanks in advance. |

If you want to override all queries for domain-a.com and domain-b.net then create a zone for each of them and enter the specified information. If you don't want to override the entire zone, you may create a zone for mail.domain-a.com and www.domain-b.net specifically.
