Hi everyone - I just found this site and it looks awesome.

I am starting an ISP and have a fibre optic connection coming in my office.

I want to use windows 2003 as my dns server as I dont know Linux and already know 2003, but I am not farmilliar with the dns part.

What should I do ????

Rather than using Microsoft DNS Server which comes with 2003, I recommend the free and open source BIND dns server.

BIND 9.2.3 Direct Download

If you install that then I'd be qualified to advise you.

Yes. I assume that this server is going to perform as a resolver? In other words, it will resolve domains for your clients?

If yes, is it also hosting domain information? I recommend not. You should have seperate servers handing resolution and hosting of domains.
