ok i get bought URL from a business site, there is nothing on it at this time tho.

i also have URL

and i want to set it up so when i type in, URL it will see my site from geocities. I have to supply the details of the host's primary and secondary DNS server and a ip address. I think I know how to get the ip but I don't know where to find the primary and secondary server details. If I find them will people automatically see my site or do I have to do something else as well?
please help.

for something like that you would have to buy a service like www.redirection.net or ask to geocities if they have other services to their free webhost space like url pointers wich is what you need, but if they do, they will probably cost you money but I don't think they ahve that kind of services wich leaves only with one solution, redirection.net wich is $5/year

You can setup the following via DNS:

But to automatically read the directory as root or something you need a webserver to provide redirection. You can host a webserver yourself to do this, or purchase the services from a site like (sic)master mentioned.
