My IP hasn't updated my site's name server
I'll admit I dont know anything about domains, routers, etc so this may not make sense.
We changed hosts this week, and on tues I changed the nameserver for site1. On thurs I changed the nameserver on site2. It is now sunday and site2 is up and running, but site1 isn't. I emailed my host and they said they could see the new site for site1, it points to the correct nameservers on the whois or registars searches I've done. I pinged my site from my computer and it is going to the old one. My question is: - is there anything I can do to speed up the process for my ip to update the nameserver for the site. - Why would site2 be up when it was changed much later, and not site1. Is it because site1 was just redirecting to another site? The new site I uploaded doesn't redirect though. - My ip is roadrunner does that explain anything? Some people have asked this on other boards with people in similiar situations. No one explained if it made a difference, or if they had problems with them. |

I'm not very good figuring out what people are talking about unless they're good at expressing themself. To overcome this, I need to know the actual site domains so that I can take a look for myself to see how things stand. Then I'll ask some questions to narrow down what problem you are worrying about.
More specifically: What is the site1 domain? What is the old site1 name server(s)? What is the new site1 name server(s)? What is the site2 domain? What is the old site2 name server(s)? What is the new site2 name server(s)? Are you just asking if you can make the registered hosts for your domain update faster? If that is the case, then no.
