Nameserver configured but no route
I have registered a name server with my registrar to my static IP address. When I do a whois ns1.mydomain.com my IP shows up, but it does not show up when I do a dig or nslookup ns1.mydomain.com, nor can I traceroute or ping ns1.mydomain.com. I have contacted the registrar (registerfly.com), & they say I need to create an A record as well, which is confusing me as in order to be able to find the A record you would need to query the name server, which at the moment I cannot do....
Anyone have any ideas? |

well I can't be absolutely sure what's up with your domain cause you only told me a fake domain. However, you must tell the registrar both the names and IP's of the server(s) hosting your domain.

Your two domain hosts are shown in the link below:
http://serialcoders.sytes.net/cgi-b...&lr=1&submit=DS The IP address and domain name match with the whois. However, queries to that IP address for both UDP and TCP are failing. It appears the server is either not running, or there is a firewall blocking the requests. |
