Nameservers again and again
i'd like to confirm something with you geniuses on here
don't be too insulted if i don't know it all like you, we all gotta start somewhere(just covering my ***) anyway. so i have my own servers, i have all the stuff set up all thats needed is for sites to point to my IP! yey. Well as i understand it here is what i need to do. a) i have my domain e.g. mydomain.com b) create two subdomains called ns1 and ns2 c) point both ns1 and ns2 to my IP (only one server atm and i have to have two so will use them for now) d) then point mydomain.com to ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com e) any new domains i want added will also have name servers settings of ns1.mydomain.com Is this correct or am i missing something? Thanks in advance ![]() Last edited by Shadi : December 15th, 2003 at 09:21 PM. |

On (b) if you really know how to perform such a task (create two subdomains) such (b) should have been combined with (c) or obmitted.
When you say point to blah blah, such newbie term doesn't help us understand your knowledge regarding to the procedures. |
