Need dns i have some questions

Hi peole from the list.
I have a server thats runs fine with several sites.
I have never go thru dns stuff because i use zoneedit.com and works fine for me.
The thing is that i can not longer buy dollars to pay my zones due that the goverment is not allowing that anymore (no comments about that). So i really need to set up a dns server in order to serve web and mail to my clients.
I have now read about "bind" and about "dns simple" (i run apache on w2000).
Now, the port 80 and 25 and 53 are blocked, i redirect in zoneedit to diferent port for the web, and ai use a redirection port software using dynun.
In this forum i read that dns does not care about ports, but how do i redirect to the port i want? each of my domains uses a diferent port.
cant web and smtp orts be redirected?
I am in kindda hurry, the service from zone edit can be terminated due my lack of money.
thanks in advance for your help

I'm confused as to what you are doing, and what you want to know. I have a guess though, and I'd like you to confirm if I am right.

People cannot connect to your port 80, 25, or 53. So you need to host your services on different ports so that they can access them.

Is this the case?

thanks for answering

the thing is:
I allready have a web server runnig with several sites with apache on w2000
I have a different port on each site
sometimes port 80,25 are open sometimes they are not
port 53 is open now (well, scanned it and says domain i am practicing with simple dns but i want to use bind.

the only domain i am trying to serve is (to practice) URL

I scanned in your site my port and says time out, why is that?

Q) if port 53 is open, can i redirect to other ports for web server?
Q) i guess tcp 53 is the natural and only port to listen= can i use another one?
Q) is there a software to install bind instead going "walking"

"I scanned in your site my port" This does not make sense. I do not understand.

"Q) if port 53 is open, can i redirect to other ports for web server?"

Not sure what you're asking, but... if you're asking if the DNS server can tell people's browsers what port to connect to then no.

"Q) i guess tcp 53 is the natural and only port to listen= can i use another one?"

TCP is not required although recommended. UDP is usually used for dns requests. You may use any port you want, however, people won't know what port to connect to.

"Q) is there a software to install bind instead going "walking""

I don't understand "going walking". However, I have heard of a version of BIND that has an easier installation process called BIND PE - http://ntcanuck.com/downloads.htm - though I myself have never used BIND PE before.
