Oops, looks like vinny is still around. trininox: if you want to ask further questions, create a new thread. We'll leave this one for vinny.
P.S. You can setup a slave on the DollarDNS service for free with no real drawbacks.

Well let's being orientation shall we?
*** Getting familiar with BIND files BIND_DIR = The directory you installed BIND in Copy all the files at http://www.dollardns.net/bind/ to BIND_DIR\etc\ You should have 2 sub directories called etc and bin. Here's a description of a couple of files. BIND_DIR\bin\named.exe -- This is your BIND executeable. BIND_DIR\bin\rndc.exe -- This is your BIND manager BIND_DIR\etc\named.conf -- Your BIND configuration file BIND_DIR\etc\basiczone.com.zone -- A zone file which stores information for a domain. In this example "basiczone.com" BIND_DIR\etc\rndc.key -- Required for rndc.exe to talk to named.exe *** More things you should know Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services -> ISC BIND Right-click the ISC BIND entry and select properties. From here you can start/stop/restart the server or set whether or not it starts on windows boot. Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Log -> Application Log Unless you override this in named.conf, you will see BIND related errors and information in this system log. *** End Orientation Now that you can feel your way around things, and have template config files to start with, you should either know how to get everything working, or at least have a specific question to ask. Please don't post stuff in other people's threads unless you're helping the person. But it looks like you've got it working.
