Not just one static IP but two?!?!
This is more moany than a question but there is one.
I'm inexperienced at this stuff and downloaded Apache James. I set it up and went to my domain controll panel and entered ns1/2.leeksoftware.co.uk in to the name server boxes and found out that they then wanted me to enter IPs for them. I had enough trouble when they wanted me to enter a single static IP address to change the DNS but now there want two different ones! Does Apache James let me have name servers running? Or have i got what it does completely worng? Also if i dont have two static IPs is there any way to get the thing working? (using no-ip etc didn't work.) |

Just try to use the same IP in both fields - whatever it is you're doing.

Basically as you may know the IP is simply the location to the server your site is located on. Nameservers point the web address in your case www.leeksoftware.co.uk to the IP/server.
I tried finding your IPs for www.leeksoftware.co.uk using the MSDOS Prompt "Ping www.leeksoftware.co.uk" but i'm getting 100% packet loss and at present I cant access your site. So I cant find out your IPs. However once your site is back up try pinging it to get your IPs. Hope that helped -mscwd |

*cough*
Yeah. MX records are something lse i have no idea about setting up so i used guess work to put the details in. And my site wont be up because i was having difficulty with the DNS stuff i decided to leave it all down for the time being. Thanks for all the help on this. I'm going to try it out when i get back from school. |
