Send a message via Yahoo to ranjithrajaram
/var/run/named/named.pid will be generated oly if named is started

Try

1) touch a file named.pid nad try startig named

or

change jail shell /bin/bash

Thanks

It doesn't matter where I specify the pid file. It still says the same error.

I don't really want to go messing with /bin/bash since I have no experience with it.

There should be an easier way than that.

Thanks
