Question about forwarders
I am trying to setup a local dns server behind a cheap router (linksys). the dns server will serve name service for local machines for resolving local machine names and public internet. But what I want is to let dns server look for its zone files first and then from forwarders. According to main.cf,
it seems to me the choices are forward first or forward only. I don't understand that because I think my request is pretty common and should be a way to do that. Any help? Thanx |

Are you using BIND? Cause it never tries to resolve a domain it hosts itself. It doesn't make sense that a server would try to resolve a domain when it's hosting it.
