How to rescue this web site? a logic challenge for DNS experts
How to solve this DNS problem We have a domain xyz.com which is under dispute and is hosted with the a rogue hosting provider let us call them abc Hosting Company The domain was in our control but due to dispute abc hosting company has put up a registry lock that is “as it is” and its name servers cannot be changed Unfortunately our domain and hosting account both were hosted with the same abc hosting company. And name servers are of abc hosting which are now locked (cannot be changed) Then abc hosting company teamed up with the other party and suspended our hosting account (site xyz.comwas live till then) So how to get the web site started. Here is a summary again: Domain with abc hosting company which is locked (but working) with name servers cannot be changed, Domain hosting account suspended We are looking for technical solutions only; legal things are handled by our legal guys

You should contact abc company as soon as possible, if you want to solve this issue.

While it sounds like you're dealing with a sketchy hosting company, unfortunately there isn't much you can do. If it's their servers and they control the glue records, they can do whatever they want. Registrars have full control over the domains registered under their name. So yeah, you'd need to get it straightened out with them.
