resolving problems
so, i have domain, example www.xyz.com..so, www.xyz.com resolves to ip, but xyz.com dont!
i edited my /etc/named.conf:
zone "xyz.com"{
type master;
file "xyz.com";
};
and added file /var/named/xyz.com:

$TTL 1H
@ IN SOA ns.ownbox.com. postmaster.ownbox.com (
2003110401 ; serial
28800 ; refresh
7200 ; retry
604800 ; expire
86400 ; default_ttl
)
@ IN MX 5 mail.ownbox.com.
@ IN NS ns.ownbox.com.
@ IN NS ns.dns2.com.
@ IN A 11.22.33.444
xyz.com. IN A 11.22.33.444
mail IN A 11.22.33.444
www IN A 11.22.33.444
webmail IN A 11.22.33.444

then i did:'killall -HUP named' and 'rndc reload'!
but nothing happens..! what i do wrong??

You misunderstood his problem. www.xyz.com already resolves. You don't need to add another record. Also he has already specified the relative www host A record and the default ORIGIN has been appended to it. He also specified a literal xyz.com. root A record as well. They both should resolve fine. I have no idea what his problem is and won't until he provides real information.

At least I'm assuming he provided fake information cause http://xyz.com does indeed resolve just fine.

it doesnt matters...just replaced real domain with www.xyz.com and another working domain with ownbox.com :/

p.s. both domains are on one box..but i got problems just for www.xyz.com (
