Setting up a dns on XP

I just started a server on my XP machine. Its runninng php 4.3.2, mysql 4.0.2 (i think), and apache 1.3.
I'm curious to know what I need to set-up a dns server on my computer, how to set-up, and if anybody knows a site that would explain how to do everything once I install it,
I plan on running a small hosting company off my computer so a dns server would help a lot. Thank you.

When I decided to setup a DNS server, I chose BIND cause I heard it is a popular open source DNS server written for linux. Also, I like its RFC standardized approach to master files rather than GUI + database solutions and proprietary configs some other servers use. I did a search on google for BIND and found this site:

I downloaded it and learned all I know from the help documentation, and searching for example config files online. Here's my configs which YOU can see as an example:

Although, long before I setup a server, I was already writing dns clients and had a good solid background of the DNS protocol and record types. I learned all that from RFC's 2 of which are here:

The resources I have given you are not for the weak of heart unfortunately. They're technical with little sympathy for the DNS neophyte.
Send me a private message if you would like me to setup your DNS for you for a price of your choosing. This is the preferred method if your DNS needs to be fixed/setup fast and you don't have the time to bounce messages back and forth on a forum. Also, check out these links:
