Setting up a DNS Server with Dynamic IP
Is there any way I can set up a DNS server which holds the A's and MX's records for my domain name using a dynamic IP address?
Currently I DO have a Dynamic DNS Service running but this does not allow me to have a DNS server which I can give the IP to my Domain name registrar. All replys would be appreciated I am new to DNS so please be gentle ![]() |

Most of your questions in this post can be answered in the 'Sticky: Generic DNS references and tips' located at the top of this thread.

mr frog is right. While the generic dns help post does describe how dynamic IP + dns server can work with the help of a 3rd party, for all practical purposes, you can't host a dns server on a dynamic IP address.
