Tracert to my ip address
I've setup an FTP server which my friends can log onto using my static IP address in the UK.
When my friends try to log onto it in Pakistan, they cant login to my ftp server, even though they're prompted for the username and password. The tracert results showed 2 destinations which were not working. What can be done about this exactly ? Apparantly its a Pakistan-wide problem and no one in pakistan is gna be able to log onto my ftp server ![]() Any solutions or suggestions please... Regards |

I would rate this as highly unlikely. What is more likely is that they are behind a firewall that is blocking passive FTP connections. They will be prompted for login information but will not actually be able to transfer any data. Their firewall admin (if this is the issue) needs to deal with this.
