Update Server Data File & Reload??

Can someone tell me what these options do exactly? This is from the DNS Manager in Windows Server 2008 R2. Is this something I need to do everytime I update my zone or something?

Are you running a DNS server on your windows box? If not, it doesn't matter.

DNS is a complex topic, I recommend getting the O'Reilly book

Yes I am running a DNS server hence the reason I am asking questions lol.

I have already downloaded that o'reilly book and unfortunately it doesn't cover these questions anywhere in the book.

When changes are made to your DNS server, you should always reload the zone file.
