    What do you usually use?

What do you guys usually choose the DNS server? will you choose a specified DNS provider or just use the DNS services from the web hoster or you use your own DNS products?

It probably depends on the individuals needs. For my personal website, I just use BIND on a server at home. For a productions domain, I would use off site hosting since it would be more reliable than a home internet connection. Depends on money too. My home one has never had a problem and I can manage it directly with no hassle from a company or their policies.

I've never used it so I can't give an accurate opinion. However, free hosting of any kind on the internet usually has a catch somewhere. It looks ok, but no way to tell if it's legit. I've never even heard anything about them from any one else. It looks China based and I'm in the states so it may just be popular over seas. Hard to say.

zoneedit.com offers free dns service for a couple domains, then you start paying. I have DNS for two domains there for over 10 years now.

I just use godaddy dns service for domains I've registered through them. I don't like running internal DNS servers, and many US ISP's prohibit you from running your own DNS servers on their connection.
