Wildcard for non-existent domains
Hi,
I'd like know if it's possible to add a wildcard for all the non-existent domains to be point to an IP address that has a coming soon page. The scenario is that I sell domains on my site, and each time a customer registers a domain, I have to add it manually in the DNS servers to show a coming soon page. So I thought I'll be a good thing to have it done automatically. By adding a wildcard in my BIND dns server that will point all non-existent domains (new registered ones) to let's say 188.188.188.188 where the coming soon page appears. Thanks in advance ![]() |

I really don't think that it's possible because every domain
require a zone, so if some one query your dns server for domain name info, if the zone it's not there, he will get no info from you dns server. It's possible to add a wildcard only for created zone, so if you have a zone for example.com you can do only *.example.com |
