Win 2K3, Dns, mail server

Hi all,

Sorry if I am being too nut and if question like mine has been posted before...and offcourse soltution found.

My problem is:
1. I have a windows 2003 server in my office, and it accesses the internet via a cable ISP. It has a static IP (196.46.2.7).
2. I want configure it as my SMTP/POP3 mail sever, so that users from my office can send and receive email using our domain upt.mtc.gov.mz.
3. I think I have done the setting ok, and I asked m domain name registrar to assign my ip to the domain.
4. The fact is that I can't send neither receive mail, even when internally I try to connect to the server, I can't be successful.
5. What do I do?? any clues ..any tuts around ..any help ..please I am desparate to get this "my first mail server to work".
6. I have configured SMTP/POP3 roles in the server.

Thanks for your help

Cheers..

This is not a DNS problem. I checked the domain and it is properly setup.

I connected to SMTP port 25 to see if you can recieve mail, it connected then I was immediately disconnected. SMTP server not configured right?

I attempted to connect to POP3 port 110 and the connection was refused. POP3 server not running?

And that's all I'm going to do to help you, I don't know much about mail server configuration. Ask your question in another forum since your DNS is fine.
