Windows 2000 - Separate internal and external DNS
Was curious if the DNS server in 2000 can be separated into internal and external.
I see you can bind your dns under management to one or all IPs connected to the server, however if I choose one and set it up for ip I don't see a way to start another with different setting to use for another ip to serve the public internet...
I have two nic cards and connect one to serve internal users and resolve names, etc, just want to create another to bind to the other nic that is being forwarded to by the gateway for external requests...
Is this possible? Or is separating the two not a wise idea?
I'm up for any suggestions, just adding websites to this network and thought it would be cleaner to separate the two.
