Well I am having the exact same problem. I am now the admin for a domain name that I want to host at a place OTHER than yahoo. I can't find anywhere to change the DNS and technical contact. I've contacted yahoo and melbourneit.com (who handles some or all of yahoo's domains) with absolutely no success. Does anyone know how to loosen yahoo's death grip on my domain name?? |

Don't post in other people's topics.
What is the domain you're trying to manage?

If you are the admin contact for the domain, it's easy to transfer it. Make sure your current admin email address is correct and valid. Then go to another registrar and initiate a transfer. You'll get two emails (at your admin email address) that you need to read and follow the instructions in, and your transfer will complete. You have 7 days to respond to those emails. Be sure to check your junkmail folders. If you have a .com, .net, or .org domain name I'd recommend Nettica (www.nettica.com), as we have handled many many transfers from MelborneIT. You'll also regain complete control of your domain being able to set the DNS servers, contact info, as well as create your own nameservers (if you were to need them).
