Moving to a new server, point the domain to new place

    Hello,

    Shortly.
    I have a domain on 1&1 servers.
I have a site which we have currently moved to a new website.

When i created an account for the new site i put the same domain we are currently using.
It has been done through CPanel Accelerated v2.
I have never before setup a domain in other way than just http forward or frame forward and would like to know how should i do it this time.

Currently we are running both servers, and the DNS is pointing the old server (checked with ping by IP). How could i change it to point the new place?
Should i give u some more info?

    Thanks.

If you're moving servers, you just need to change the corresponding A record for whatever server you're changing to reflect the new IP address. I've never used cpanel but I assume there is some edit zone option that would allow you to make the change.

Or, if your domain DNS is managed by 1&1 you may need to find their dns control panel. I let godaddy do the DNS for my domains rather than running my own dns server.
