    Non-existent NS Appearing

2 new domains were registered for a client via enom.com:
    theritestart.com
    heavensnerds.com

Upon registration, the 5 enom.com DNS servers were assigned, and working correctly. dns1-dns5 via dns#.name-services.com

I changed the DNS servers to 2 of mine, which are defined in the zone files, and do work correctly.
    ns1.hellzoneinc.com
    hellzone1.hellzoneinc.com

Now, the 2 issues being reported seem to be made up items, and I have no clue what would be generating such...

Error 1: (Such an address never existed via me, nor the default setup...)
Primary Name Server Not Listed At Parent
    ns1.heavensnerds.com (or ns1.theritestart.com)

Error 2: (Both my zone files have the matching 2017030331)
    Serial numbers do not match
    2017030331
    2017030301

Any idea where I can find out where ns1.heavensnerds.com (or ns1.theritestart.com) is coming from, as well as the mentioned 2017030301 serial?

At least browser checks are using valid items and are being directed to the hosting web server appropriately, but I'd like to clean up these errors/warnings...

    1. ns1.heavensnerds.com totally looks like a default. Note that it and ns1.hellzoneinc.com both resolve to 24.196.88.234. This would be set somewhere in enom with the domain configuration.
    2. The serial would be with the zone, possibly generated for you - and given the YYYYMMDDNN format, likely is.

Neither of these are problems: as long as the server at ns1.heavensnerds.com can serve DNS queries for heavensnerds.com then that's good, and as long as the serial changes when the zone configuration changes then that's good.

So, even though enom.com's default NS format is ns#.name-services.com, the ns1.domain.com would still be a valid item of theirs? And if I've got my DNS registered as the only 2 nameservers, why would the registrar be using much anything more?

The nameservers are set with the domain, so there's something at enom somewhere saying to use ns1.heavensnerds.com.

And on top of that, your DNS recognizes the domain name and is responding to it, as demonstrated by
    Code:
    >nslookup ns1.heavensnerds.com ns1.heavensnerds.com
    Server: UnKnown
    Address: 24.196.88.234

    Name: ns1.heavensnerds.com
    Address: 24.196.88.234

Aight. Thanks for the confirmation on my thoughts of the situation.
