Question About a table size

Q: Since the whole database is contained in "one big file", can I use one table/year or should I split it in one table/month?
(a month is about 20.000 to 50.000 records)

If you use parametrized queries, no matter
We have hundreds of thousands of records in one table, but, at client level, record sets are filtered using parameters.
Usualy a day, or, if he wants, more, but he must specify start date and end date.
